ACCD District Board

District Board Meetings are open to the general public and are normally held once a month on the Thursday of the first full week of the month. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. November - March and at 7:30 p.m. April - October. Meetings are held at the District office located at 720 6th Street, Suite B, in Clarkston.

NOTICE OF ELECTION

An election for a seat on the Asotin County Conservation District (ACCD) Board will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Floch Hall, Asotin, Washington. Polls will open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 2:00 p.m. Registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote. Absentee ballots are available upon request for eligible voters, but must be requested on or before February 16, 2012 by 4:30 p.m. by contacting the ACCD office at (509) 758-8012, 720 6th Street, Suite B, Clarkston, WA. Absentee ballots must be returned to the District office at 720 6th Street, Suite B, Clarkston, WA no later than 4:30 p.m. on February 22, 2012 OR delivered to the election polling site at Floch Hall, Asotin, WA on February 23, 2012 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Election procedures are available at the District office. Notice of “Elected” Supervisor Term Expiration

An election for a seat on the Asotin County Conservation District (ACCD) Board will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012. The purpose of the election is to elect one supervisor to serve a three (3) year term on the ACCD Board. Supervisors are public officials who set policy and direct the activities of the Conservation District. They serve without compensation, but are eligible to be reimbursed for appropriate expenses. Candidates must be registered voters residing within the Conservation District boundary and may be required to be landowners or operators of a farm. Anyone interested in applying to be a candidate for this elected position must provide a completed application to the ACCD office at 720 6th Street, Suite B, Clarkston, WA by the filing deadline of January 26, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. Application forms and additional information are available at the ACCD office at 720 6th Street, Suite B, Clarkston, WA during normal business hours or at the Washington State Conservation Commission website at http://www.scc/wa/gov. Notice of “Appointed” Supervisor Term Expiration

There is an upcoming term expiration for an Appointed Supervisor position on the Asotin County Conservation District Board. Conservation District Board Supervisors are public officials who set policy and direction for the conservation district. They serve without compensation but are eligible to be reimbursed for appropriate expenses. An applicant must be a registered voter in Washington living within the conservation district boundary and may be required to own land or operate a farm. Applications must be received by the Washington State Conservation Commission by March 31, 2012.
